You will start you journey in Assam, the gateway to the north-east, a state known for its breath taking scenic beauty, rarest flora and fauna, lofty green hills, vast rolling plain, mighty waterways and a land of fairs and festivals.

You will explore the beautiful Kaziranga National Park famous for its one-horned rhino and endless fauna. Your trip will lead you to Majuli, one of the biggest river islands in the world and visit the vaishnavite satras.

Your journey continues to Nagaland, the land of the fierce head-hunters. Life in Nagaland is replete with festivals throughout the year as all the tribes have their own festivals, which they greatly cherish. They regard their festivals sacrosanct and participation in them is compulsory. They celebrate their distinct seasonal festivals with pageantry, colour, music and fanfare. Most of these festivals revolve round agriculture, which is still the mainstay of the Naga society.

You will then head to Manipur, the land of rich valleys surrounded by beautiful hills and lakes, a land of gentle people full of laughter and joy. You will also relax on the banks of the beautiful Loktal Lake before heading to the Indo-Burma border.

Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, has recently awakened after its long sleep, imposed by the military regime. This country is now secure, stable and ready to welcome visitors to reveal its intact nature and cultural sites, which are as beautiful as mysterious. Day 1

Arrival in Guwahati - Kaziranga NP

Welcome at Guwahati airport and road to Kaziranga National Park. If early arrival, you can enjoy a jeep safari in the afternoon. Night in hotel/resort/homestay.

Day 2

Kaziranga NP

In this delightful day, you will embark on 2 thrilling jeep safaris which will go deep inside the wilderness of the national park, through grasslands and teeming forests. There are four forest belts in Kaziranga, namely Agoratoli (eastern range) which is primarily dense forest, Kohora (central range) grasslands and home to majority of the rhinos, Bagori (western range) has mixed grasslands and forest and the offbeat Burapahar range which has a hilly forested terrain. Apart from the jeep safaris in the forest ranges and wildlife corridors, visitors can also enjoy a river safari at the confluence of Dhansiri and Brahmaputra rivers to spot the river dolphins, aquatic species, migratory wetland birds and also perhaps the tiger! Day 3

Kaziranga NP - Jorhat

After breakfast drive to Jorhat. Afternoon visit the Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary or the villages nearby. Night in hotel.

Day 4

Jorhat - Majuli

After breakfast, drive to Neematighat and take a boat cruise to Majuli (1 or 2 hrs upstream boat cruise - the time depends upon the water level of the river) - one of the largest inhabited river island in the world and famous for the Vaishnavite Satras or monasteries and its culture. Enroute there is a possibility of sighting flocks of migratory water birds and the Gangetic River Dolphin. Visit the monasteries and interface with tribes on the island. Night in bamboo hut.

Day 5

Majuli - Mokokchung

Morning take a ferry ride across Brahmaputra River to arrive at Nimatighat and drive to Nagaland. Traditional shawls can be seen in creation at the Mishing Village in Assam. Shifting from plains to hills will bring a change in the weather and make the temperature cool down. You will get to see a lot of local weavers on the way making bamboo mats. This is done by using the renowned Bamboo technology. You will also come across the small enterprises that the Nagas are beholding even in the villages and one such is the Ilenden Village. Night in hotel.

Day 6

Mokokchung - Kohima

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kohima. Enroute, you can visit Wokha, the Lotha and Angami tribe belt and Tuophema Tourist Village. Evening free at leisure. Night in Hotel.

Day 7

Kohima - Imphal

After breakfast drive to Imphal through Kigwema, Jakhama, Viswema-Khuzama-Mao villages. You will be amazed by the spectacular landscapes in a New World. Arrive Imphal and check into your hotel for night stay.

Day 8

Imphal - Loktak

In the morning, depart for Moirang. It was here that the flag of the Indian National Army was first unfurled on April 14th, 1944. Visit the INA Museum and the centre of Meitei folk culture. Later continue to Keibul Lamjao National Park which is the only floating National Park in the world on the Loktak Lake. Relax at Sendra Island. Night in hotel.

Day 9

Loktak - Tamu

Today you drive to the Myanmar Border town of Moreh. On reaching there you will drive to Tamu the nearest town of Myanmar after crossing the international border. Night in basic hotel.

Day 10

Tamu - Monywa

After breakfast, drive to Monywa and enjoy beautiful countryside along the way. Arrive in Monywa in the evening. Night in hotel.

Day 11

Monywa - Mandalay

This morning, across the Chindwin River to visit the Po Win Taung Caves and its colony of frisky monkees. In the afternoon, continue to Mandalay. On the way, visit magnificent Thanboday Pagoda and nearby Bouddhi Tataung. Night in hotel.

Day 12

Mandalay

After breakfast, transfer to the river jetty, where a comfortable private boat awaits to take you on a scenic trip down the river (one-hour journey) to the village of Mingun, home of the largest intact bell in the world.  See the huge, unfinished Mingun temple (with its distinctive cracks), and walk around the friendly village, including a stop at the Mingun Home for the Age to meet the amazing Nurse Thwe Thwe Aye. Return to Mandalay. Drive to Sagaing, the religious center of local Buddhist life, and see the famous Sagaing hills, where you hundreds of monasteries and nunneries are located. Visit three of the most interesting ones: Sun U Ponya Shin Pagoda, U Min Thoneze Pagoda and the Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda. In the evening, visit the famous U Bein Bridge (over 200 years old), the longest teakwood bridge in the world, and Bagaya monastery with its fabulous collection of Buddha statues. Night in hotel.

Day 13

Mandalay - Bagan

After breakfast, leisure at hotel. In the afternoon, drive to Bagan the richest archaeological site in Asia, with more than 3,000 stupas and temples. Night in hotel.

Day 14

Bagan

Discover Bagan, famous pagodas such as Ananda, Thatbyinyu (the highest temple in Bagan), Shwezigon (the most venerable pagoda), Dhammayangyi (the most massive temple), Shwesandaw Pagoda, Gubyaukgyi, and Gubyauknge. Inside the temples, marvel at the ancient mural paintings and frescos from the 11th and 13th centuries. At the end of the day, we will drop you at one of the highest stupas in the area, where you can enjoy a panoramic sunset view of Bagan. Night in hotel. Option: Discover Bagan in hot air balloon.

Day 15

Bagan - NyaungShwe

Today morning, check out from your hotel and drive to Inle. Enjoy beautiful mountain sceneries on the way. Arrive in NyaungShwe in late afternoon and check in your hotel. Then, leisure or stroll around in the evening. Night in hotel.

Day 16

NyaungShwe

Visit on the lake, PhaungDawOo Pagoda (the holiest religious site in Shan State), lakeside villages (silk weaving on wooden handlooms, demonstrations of canoe making, and blacksmiths), and NgePhaeKyaung Monastery. While on the lake, take photos of the unique leg-rowing fishermen, typical floating gardens, and observe local methods of fishing. Night in hotel.

Day 17

NyaungShwe - Naypyidaw

After breakfast, check out and drive to Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar. Night in hotel.

Day 18

Naypyidaw - Yangon

This morning, drive to Yangon. Arrive in Yangon and leave your luggage at hotel. Then, sightseeing around Yangon, including the downtown area and its beautiful colonial architecture, Scott’s (Bogyoke) Market, Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha, and late afternoon visit to world famous Shwedagon Pagoda to enjoy the sunset. If you have time in the evening, we can take you to the Chinatown district where you can try some tasty local street food (hygienic) and enjoy the busy night life. Night in hotel.

Departure from Yangon

Transfer to Yangon Airport according to your international departure flight-time. End of our services.
