- Detailed Program
The Mishimi hills are home to some of the most incredible trails in India which a traveler can embark on. Century old hunting treks along lusty green valleys and steep mountains are a great way to explore and experience the natural beauty and wonders of far eastern Himalayas.
Roing rises from the Himalayan foothills to the middle ranges with the highest point of Mayodia at a height of 2655 m from mean sea level. Snow-capped peaks, turbulent rivers, mystic valleys and abundance of rich flora & fauna are a few attractions of the district. The district is well known for its largest cover of thick green forest with almost 80% of the area being notified as reserved forest, wildlife sanctuaries or unclassified state forests.
There is no better place to learn how to survive into the wild without equipment. During this stay, you will learn the four basic elements of survival: fire, shelter, water and food. Our instructor, Robin, has a vast knowledge base with the experience to support him, as well as the passion to share his skills.
This adventure is ideal for intermediate to expert trekkers as on almost all trekking days we will be climbing steep uphill or downhill. You will be accompanied by experienced guides and former hunters with in-depth knowledge to share the history of the area while showing you the rare flora and fauna.

Arrival in Delhi - Dibrugarh - RoingWelcome at the airport and transfer to the domestic terminal for the Dibrugarh flight. Welcome at Dibrugarh airport and drive to Arunachal Pradesh crossing the impressive Dhola–Sadiya Bridge, longest bridge in India. On arrival, you clear entry with your Restricted Area Permits. Later drive to Roing. Evening at leisure. Night in a traditional bamboo house. Among the blue ranges of eastern Himalayas in the backdrop lies the Mishmi Hills of Arunachal, little down in the foothills lies the Roing and Tezu town and further down in the plain was the town of Sadiya, which was once a bustling town of Assam that was inundated during the great earthquake of 1950. For years, the shortest route connection to these areas was a tedious ferry journey across lohit river. Bhupen Hazarika Setu is the longest bridge in India with a span of 9.15 km, connecting Sadiya and eastern Arunachal with Dholla. Deservedly named after one of the icon from North East India 'Bhupenda', it is an engineering marvel, started in 2011 and completed in a span of 6 years in 2017. Alleviating the people of their enduring journey on ferry across lohit river this bridge is truly a people oriented development. We need more of such project.
